Which file formats are ideal for upload?

→ You can use almost any common formats: JPG, PNG or SVG, as well as professional print files like EPS or Photoshop. Vector files (e.g. SVG, EPS, AI) are best suited as they can be scaled without loss of quality, but they are not required.

What is the difference between hard and soft enamel?

→ Soft enamel is filled into the recesses of the pin and hardens there. The metal edges remain slightly raised and tactile. → Hard enamel is additionally fired at 800–900 °C and then polished flat. This creates a smooth surface that is robust and scratch-resistant – similar to a tile. This makes hard enamel particularly high-quality, but also a bit more expensive.

Which manufacturing method is best for my design?

It depends on your design and intended use: → Screen-printed, enamel, sandblasted or embossed pins: colours are separated by metal ridges, gradients are not possible. Ideal for clear logos or symbols. They look particularly traditional and elegant, and are very durable. → Acrylic, wood or offset: suitable for photos and designs with colour gradients, but also logos.

Can I get a sample of my pin?

Before production starts, you will always receive a free digital proof by email. A physical sample is also possible: → Acrylic and wooden pins: can be ordered as a real sample by post, since no tool is required. → Metal, embossed and enamel pins: an individual sample is possible, but more complex and costly, as an additional tool must be made. We can also provide free samples of similar pins from our production so that you can check the quality and finish.
